FAQs
How Does Coaching Differ from Counseling?
Coaching works to help you get unstuck & push your life forward while counseling works to put your life back together. Therapists focus on the why while coaching focuses on the how!
What does a coach do versus a therapist?
A Coach provides insight into your current situation and assists you in developing a plan to transition towards the new path that you have always wanted. Coaches assist in transitions related to family, parenting, career, and life satisfaction and sometimes act as an accountability partner.
On the other hand, therapists are licensed by the governing body of their state and focus on issues you have endured from past experiences while helping to alleviate the inability to cope with them. Therapists also assist in the treatment of symptoms from mental health disorders.
Why do I need a Coach?
If you’re feeling stuck in life, sick of struggling w/the same thing and are having a hard time visualizing what is next for your parenting success, a Coach may be right for you. Coaches walk alongside you, providing you with tools to define new goals and reach for the forgotten ones. Together we will identify potential obstacles and create a plan to navigate them while generating positive outcomes.
What should I expect in a Coaching Session?
Coaching starts with the current reality you are facing where during the session you and your Coach will focus on a set of specific situations to identify a plan of action.
